Year 2010

In the face of the disaster in Haiti, we are hoping to raise a total of $8,000,000.

$1,200,000 for our many pre-earthquake programs for one year.

$3,000,000 to rebuild or restore our 18 schools.

$1,000,000 to build a trauma & orthapedic surgical center for children and adults.

$1,000,000 for direct relief in the many areas where we work: food, clothing, water, tents, tarp, and helping people to rebuild damaged homes.

$600,000 for heavy machinery so we can stop renting all the equipent we need to receive containers, manage shipments and distributions, clear rubble, delivery cnstruction materials, etc.

$500,000 for job creation and to help people invest in small businesses through loans.

$200,000 to start one more school, this one for the blind and the deaf.

$300,000 to sponsor children in higher levels of education.

Compassion Weavers has NO administrative costs or overhead as those finances are absorbed by Passionist Overseas Missions. Compassion Weavers has a volunteer administrator and no physical office, incurring minimal expenses for office supplies and maintenance of the site. There are no fundraisng expenses. This means that over 95% of every dollar goes directly to the programs and the people!
